On June 20, the 18th Silicon Saxony Day took place in Dresden – one of the most important high-tech and networking events in the European microelectronics industry. Over 500 participants from industry, research, and politics took the opportunity to exchange ideas on current trends and innovations in semiconductor technology, AI, IoT, and digitization.

This year, the Micro/Nano Performance Center was represented with a joint booth by Fraunhofer IPMS and Fraunhofer IZM-ASSID. The two institutes presented current research topics and results from the Performance Center relating to micro and nanotechnologies.

The booth offered visitors the opportunity to exchange ideas on cooperative research approaches, technological developments, and application perspectives—especially in the context of the regional microelectronics and semiconductor industry. The joint appearance highlighted the close cooperation within the Performance Center and sent a strong signal for the networking of science and industry in Saxony.
